Apple To Debut Scalable 3D Touch Tech for iPad-Sized screens after "iPhone 7"

Apple is developing a new pressure-sensing display technology similar to iPhone 6s' 3D Touch that can be scaled up to iPad screen sizes, but the tech won't be ready till next year.  iPhone 6s feature, 3D Touch adds a new control layer to iOS, providing user access to Peek and Pop content previews and handy home screen Quick Actions. On iPhone 6s, 3D Touch measures the distance between iPhone's flexible cover glass and the sensor array, outputting force and location data for each finger press. Billed by Apple as "the next generation of multi-touch," 3D Touch builds on pressure-sensing Force Touch technology introduced with Apple Watch and later added to MacBook trackpads.

Do Now: Writing Prompt(Cloak)

If I had been chosen to wear an invisible cloak and had to do 1 good deed I would do common deeds like throwing at the garbage, dishes, holding the door open, etc. Even though I do little chores, I am still helping out the community and I can help outside of the community by helping with groceries, helping with the cart, helping and elderly man/woman cross the street. I can also mow the lawn, rake leaves, shovel snow, etc. I can help people move things like a couch, chair, etc.

The bigger deeds I would do would be helping out the poor and homeless. I would give them food, water, and clothes. I would try to get many supplies including pillows, blankets, small beds, etc. Bringing these items to the poor and homeless would make a big difference and I would't mind not being credited because people shouldn't starve or live uncomfortably.

Do Now Writing Prompt

If I could add a new class into our school curriculum that we don't have, I would add a Roman class where we get to learn Roman instead of just Spanish and Italian. Since Spanish and Italian are similar it would be nice to have a whole new different language. The class would be taken some time during school as an elective. The students would learn how to speak Roman throughout the school year and they would do exercises to help practice speaking Roman. They will practice writing in Roman and just learn how to make sentences and there will be more advanced classes for the ones who already know how to speak Roman.
It would look like every other classroom, nothing special and it would feel different because I'm assuming that Roman is much different from Spanish and Italian. It would have a different atmosphere because we always had Spanish and Italian and it would be nice to have a different language class. It would sound like we are speaking Roman obviously and it would sound different and we wouldn't be used to it. The students would take tests and quizzes to see how they are doing and they would also take an SGO at the beginning of the year and take it again at the end of the year to see how much they learned. They would also take midterms and take finals.

Do now 11/30

The three people I am most thankful for are my dad, mom, and grandma. I am thankful for my dad because he has always been there for me and always helped me with school, sports, and many other things that would help me in my life. I am thankful for my mom because she always pushed me to do better in life and always gives me tips. I am thankful for my grandma because she would literally do anything for me and she would bring me food and other gifts almost every week and she doesn't have the word "no" in her vocabulary.
I didn't really have a "best" thanksgiving because every year it was always amazing and I always have fun spending time with family and the things I really enjoy about Thanksgiving is the food and spending time with family. There is always a lot of food and always end up taking food home and before we eat, we all spend quality time with each other.
I don't have any big traditions during Thanksgiving and I don't want to start any traditions.

Samsung Galaxy S7 To Feature Homegrown Britecell Camera Technology

Samsung had a return to form in 2015 with the launch of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, and no small part of those smartphones' success was down to the camera technology they use. With the quality of the camera in a smartphone among the most critical factors consumers use to buy a smartphone these days, it is no surprise to see that Samsung is looking to get even better with the Galaxy S7.

Hillsborough County deputies using infrared technology to nab suspects

  • Technology being used by Hillsborough County deputies is helping officers nationwide. Just five days ago, infrared FLIR technology was used to track down Floyd Ray Cook, a fugitive accused of shooting a Tennessee police officer and firing at a Kentucky trooper.
  • Hillsborough deputies say the technology is only getting stronger. Its heat-seeking features help find suspects in the dead of night or in urban areas by finding suspects' body heat.
  • These infrared cameras are now much in demand across the country. Hillsborough deputies have been using these for more than a decade and are seeing other law enforcement agencies taking up the trend.
  •  The cameras have helped recover dozens of people over the years, deputies said.http://on.aol.com/video/hillsborough-county-deputies-using-infrared-technology-to-nab-suspects-519214583

2015  Nike Mags

  • Nike was asked to collaborate on a movie that would feature scenes set in the futuristic world of 2015 and the brand was challenged to imagine sneakers that would fit the advanced era.
  • The Nike mag reinvented the conventional lacing system, integrating it into and inimitable design that became an enduring beacon of popular culture.
  • Nike continues to test this technology across multiple sports, incorporating feedback into future game-changing footwear with unprecedented performance features that have the potential to impact athletes around the world.
  • This innovation advances what was coined the Nike Mag’s “power laces,” combining the archetype invention with digital technology. The result is an individually responsive system that senses the wearer’s motion to provide adaptive on-demand comfort and support. But this is just the first iteration.

Google speeds up news article downloads on mobile devices

  • Dozens of leading news organisations, including the BBC, are taking part in a scheme that will allow their web-based articles to load more quickly on smartphones and tablets.
  • Leaders of the Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) promise that the stripped-back versions of the pages will be "lightning fast" to load.
  • AMP works by simplifying the technical underpinnings of the pages involved.
  • Much of the Javascript code used on normal webpages is absent, meaning articles should not only appear faster but use less battery power.
  • Publishers can continue to tap into the same ad networks as before, but they will not be able to display some types of adverts including pop-ups and "sticky" images that move as users scroll down a page.

Denver Police Turn To Mobile Fingerprint Technology

Police officers in Denver will soon have a new technology to identify suspects that lie about there identity. The city already approved $260,000 in the budget for the new fingerprinting technology and will help in cases testing with fingerprints. The new technology should help with identification and wrongly jailing people which has been a huge problem in the past. The police have contacted someone without and identification card and would receive a fake name and with the new technology, there should be no problem.

  • New technology allows a man to walk for the first time in 5 years.
  • The technology connects his brain and legs bypassing the injured spine.
  • The experiment is for people who have an injured lower and upper spine.
  • It requires a cap with electrodes, backpack with an amplifier, contraption called the Parastep that electrically stimulates the legs, and a belt with the controller for the Parastep.
  • Before testing the system the man had to go through muscle conditioning to regain strength to prepare for standing and walking.

This year I am taking geometry with Mr. Santangelo and when class first started I expected to learn about a lot of shapes and lines. So far I have learned about lines, planes, and angles. We have learned about line segments, rays, planes, lines, points, etc. We also learned about angles on the protractor and we talked about obtuse, acute, right, and straight angles. I also expect to learn about algebraic equations tied into geometry.

In Mr. Santangelo's Geometry class he grades everything by how important he thinks an assignment is. He grades tests 40%, quizzes are 15%, classwork is 10%, and informal assessments are 35%. The thing I like most about geometry is the angles. I like to work with angles like obtuse, acute, etc. and its just fun to work with them and I have a lot of fun doing work on it. I also like to work in group projects because we get to build things because it is geometry class.

Technology is not used in my geometry class other then the times we use our computer to do activities and play games. We play this game called Kahoot-It and it's a game where the whole class plays to answer questions together. In geometry we have fun and do lots of work and we do a lot of work based off of shapes. We have fun because Mr. Sanatagelo makes it fun and we all co-operate together and we all have fun.
